Feng Jia Night Market
Night market is definitely one of the place you should go when visiting Taiwan. Fengjia Night Market, also called Fengjia Shopping Town in Xitun District, Taichung, Taiwan being one of the biggest in the country, offers more than the standard food you can find.
Although it originated as a small market around Fengjia University, it has become increasingly popular since the freeway system was built and nearby Taichung Airport was renovated. Today, this place attracts over a hundred million visitors annually.
The night market usually bustling around 7:00pm and close around 1:00 am. Many of the main stores in the area open around 2:00 pm. The area is usually very busy especially on weekends. Many of the patrons are university students and hordes from tour bus.
If you want nightlife, this place beats the rest. Taichung has long been a stopover point for people travelling north and south, as well as for those looking for some freshly cooked food in the middle of the night. They have some unique food that you don't find in other night markets.
The Fengjia Night Market is centered around Feng Jia University. As you approach the university gate, the market are straight off to the streets and alleys on both sides. The gate is the "center" of the market.
It is a large takoyaki ball. They came in different flavour and 2 for each set.
Minglun Pancake. Its a must try. People has been queuing for this. We waited for almost 45minutes for this. Hot pancake are served when you order
The night market is massive and you can spent about 3 to 4 hours in the night market busy eating and shopping. There are a lot of food stalls and you can eat non-stop trying all the street foods here. But not forgotten there are a lot of shops outside of the night market place which you cannot miss.
If you are trying to find some best food in here, look for places where people queue a long way. It is definitely worth the queue time. ^^

Here are just some of the nice food that we found. There are still a lot of stalls that we yet to try. We spent 2 nights here and we still think that we haven't explore enough.
Along the way, we found there is this 2 storey shoplot, where you can go to restroom located on the 2nd floor and some bench for you to rest after walking half of the night market.
